ANACAM 2026 Technical and Administrative Update Seminar: a recap of the day in Assago

On March 19, 2026, we took part in the Technical and Administrative Update Seminar organized by ANACAM in Assago (Milan), an event that provides a comprehensive overview of the technical, regulatory, and administrative developments in the elevator industry.
It was an intensive day, rich in content and practical insights to address the daily challenges faced by companies — from documentation and safety to new European regulations and dedicated training paths for elevator professionals.
In this article, we share the key presentations and the main topics that guided the discussion.

The Evolution of Elevator Companies: Challenges and Change

The day opened with a presentation by Antonio Ciani (ANACAM Administrative Secretary), who outlined the ongoing transformation within elevator companies.
He highlighted how elevator professionals are now required to manage an increasingly complex mix of:
- continuous regulatory updates,
- new technologies,
- growing administrative and documentation requirements,
- cross-disciplinary technical skills.
A scenario that demands organization, adaptability, and appropriate tools in order to remain competitive.

Technical Insights: An Operational Focus on UNI 10411 Standards

One of the most anticipated sessions was delivered by Roberto Corradini (ANACAM Secretary General), who addressed three key topics for those working daily on elevator systems.
1. Update of the ANACAM Vademecum on UNI 10411 (2024 Edition)
An increasingly essential document to support the practical application of standards related to modifications of existing elevators.
2. Semi-Annual Inspection Record Report
Corradini clarified the contents, responsibilities, and correct completion of the inspection report, a fundamental tool for ensuring traceability of operations.
3. Manual for Applying UNI 10411 to Repair and Modernization Quotations
An operational guide designed to facilitate the preparation of quotations, ensure consistency, and reduce interpretative doubts.
A highly technical yet extremely useful presentation, providing practical and immediately applicable tools.

Site Safety: Analysis of a Real Case

Patrizia Ferretti (ANACAM National Board Member) delivered an in-depth session dedicated to worksite safety, analyzing a real case and illustrating procedures, common mistakes to avoid, and best practices.
A reminder that safety is not just a regulatory obligation, but a shared responsibility for all professionals involved.

Continuous Training: Anacam Academy, Crescita Verticale, and New Courses

Training took center stage in the presentation by Icaro Sborgia (ANACAM Training Team Consultant), who introduced updates on the association’s educational programs. Key initiatives included:
- Anacam Academy / Crescita Verticale, a structured program designed to support the professional growth of technicians and companies;
- Online courses developed in collaboration with Docensas, aimed at making training more accessible and flexible.
A strong signal of the growing focus on updated and qualified skills within the industry.

New European Standards: UNI EN 81-41:2025 and EN 81-42:2025

Paolo Tattoli (Convenor CEN TC10/WG7/WG8/WG13) provided an overview of the new European standards regarding lifting platforms for persons with reduced mobility.
The two standards — UNI EN 81-41:2025 and EN 81-42:2025 — introduce significant updates in terms of:
- safety requirements,
- design,
- accessibility,
- system performance.
Highly relevant content for manufacturers, designers, and maintenance companies.

Current Status and Future Outlook

ANACAM Director Luca Incoronato presented an updated overview of tax incentives related to lifting systems in existing buildings — a particularly relevant topic in light of recent changes to building bonuses.

ISO 8100-1 and 8100-2: What Really Changes

To conclude the day, a joint presentation by Ivan Ferrarini (SBS/EFESME Expert at CEN TC10/WG1) and Marco Cogliati (Technical Expert) illustrated the main innovations introduced by ISO 8100-1 and ISO 8100-2, compared to the current EN 81-20 and EN 81-50 standards.
A detailed comparison that helped participants better understand:
- the differences between the standards,
- their practical impact on elevator systems,
- the operational changes required for field professionals.

A Day of Updates, Exchange, and Growth

The Assago Seminar confirmed itself as a must-attend event for elevator industry professionals, offering technical content, regulatory updates, operational tools, and opportunities for professional exchange.
A day that once again highlighted how rapidly our industry is evolving — and how essential it is to stay up to date in order to ensure quality, safety, and professionalism.
