When working with LED and electronic components, there is an invisible risk: ESD, electrostatic discharge.
You can’t see it. You can’t hear it. But it can damage components before you even turn them on.
And the problem is that you often realize it too late.
Why you can’t ignore it
An electrostatic discharge can:
- damage the LED
- reduce its lifespan
- create defects that appear over time
And even if everything seems to work at first, it doesn’t mean everything is fine.
The test that makes the difference
To avoid all this, there is the ESD test.
It works like this:
- connect the wrist strap to the control unit,
- step onto the platform,
- start the test.
If the green light shows “pass”, you can be sure you won’t discharge energy onto the components.
Professionalism means prevention
The point is not doing the test once.
It’s making it a standard.
Because real professionalism shows before you start, not after you finish.
